A vet clinic with care, compassion and community at its heart
At Woolgoolga Veterinary Clinic, our focus is simple: thoughtful care for every animal and straightforward advice for the people who love them. That starts with listening carefully, speaking plainly and putting your animals first, every time.
Backed by years of country experience, we offer clarity when things feel uncertain, steady support when decisions feel big, and confidence that your animal is in capable hands. After all, it’s what we love most — caring for animals, supporting families, and doing our part for the community we’re proud to call home.
A note from Partner and Veterinarian Dr Jim
I’ve been using my head, heart and hands to support animals for over 20 years. This work is exciting, challenging and wonderfully diverse.
It’s also an immense privilege – and one I don’t take lightly.
I know it’s tough to trust someone else to care for your animals, which is why my team and I treat all of our patients as if they are our own.
That means making sure they are as comfortable as possible, never rushing your appointments, and working out the best treatment plans to suit you both. A healthy dose of cuddles, pats and ear scratches goes a long way too!
I opened Woolgoolga Vet Clinic in 2013, with just one administrative staff, one vet nurse and myself as the only vet. Since then, we’ve built a robust team of animal lovers – including two more incredible vets, Dr Kim and Partner Dr Emma (who also happens to be my big sister).
We’d love to see you at the clinic.
With care,
Dr Jim
“I cannot thank Dr Emma , Dr Jim and the team enough for saving our puppy”
“They provided timely laparotomy surgery, persistent post operation care and management for acute renal injury – going above and beyond . They are knowledgeable, super friendly and great listeners, providing owner-centred care. Great outcome – our gorgeous Xander boy is back with his family playing, eating, drinking and sharing love.”
— AshmaA veterinary team you can count on
There’s no doubt about it, caring for animals creates some of life’s biggest moments.
Whether it’s the joy of bringing home a new puppy or the pain of saying goodbye to a beloved friend, you need a veterinary team who are here for the long haul.
That’s what we’ve built here at Woolgoolga Vet Clinic – a friendly and familiar team who knows your history, understands your animal’s quirks, and remembers how to help them feel safe in difficult moments.
